In my case, I was under so much stress that it was making me feel really anxious and panicky. My coach suggested I talk to the counselor at school about it.

I wasn’t into it at first, but I gave it a try. The counselor helped me think of ways to cut down my stress, and she didn’t judge me or anything. She just sort of let me talk it through.

If you’re feeling stressed or sad or like you want to hurt yourself and don’t know what to do or if you have a friend who’s feeling that way, and you want to help, there are things you can do.

It’s definitely not your responsibility to solve all your friends’ problems. But if you notice that a friend is acting different, or you have a feeling in your gut that something just isn’t right with them, it’s okay to check in, talk to them about it, and connect them with an adult you trust to help them get some support.
