Something else that helps CHF patients manage their CHF is a TeleHealth device.

TeleHealth is a simple, easy-to-use electronic device that can measure weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar. TeleHealth staff will come to the patient's home to help set it up, and teach the patient how to use it. Once information is entered into the device, the device transmits it to the TeleHealth nurse so she can monitor it. If patients forget to use the device, or if weight, blood pressure, or blood sugar are worrisome, the TeleHealth system will automatically send a red alert notice to the nurse to call the patient right away. TeleHealth is a great way to get your loved one more support, especially if he or she lives alone or far from family.
